Ayurveda therapy: traditional Indian healing art for modern challenges

The offer: Medical Ayurveda cures for detox, anti-ageing, pain, treatment of chronic illnesses or burnout - individually tailored to you with medical anamnesis and support.

Experience Ayurveda in its original, medical form - far removed from simple wellness. This millennia-old Indian art of healing is based on precise diagnostics and individualised treatment plans. We determine your Dosha (individual constitution) during the first consultation and create a tailor-made programme that is precisely tailored to your needs.

A central component of our approach is Panchakarma - an intensive detoxification and cleansing treatment that frees the body from harmful substances and activates the body's self-healing powers. This is complemented by targeted treatments such as Marma Abhyanga, Abhyanga, Swedanam-Kizhi (herbal stamp massage) or Shirodhara (oil head massage). Each treatment is customised to promote your health on a holistic level.

Yoga is the movement of the body, Ayurveda the movement of the inner energy - together they lead to health.

Another highlight is traditional Indian yoga. Unlike Western yoga, which is often geared towards physical fitness, the focus here is on harmonising body, mind and soul through breathing techniques, meditation and mindful movement sequences.

Traditional Indian yoga: your customised practice

In traditional Indian yoga, the focus is on individualised asanas tailored to the needs of each individual. Unlike Western yoga, which often emphasises physical fitness, it combines breathing techniques, meditation, chanting mantras and mindful movement to create a holistic therapy. Yoga is about harmonising your energy flows, balancing your dosha and promoting healing from within.

Our applications individually combined for you

Panchakarma is a holistic treatment programme in Ayurveda that aims to cleanse and regenerate the body, mind and soul. There are two main forms of treatment:

  • Shamana Chikitsa: Relief of complaints with herbal medicines.
  • Shodhana Chikitsa: Intensive body cleansing through various procedures that make up the Panchakarma programme.

Marmas are the energy centres of the body. The word "Ma" in Marma stands for Prana. Prana is the life energy and also means "abode". Therefore, a marma is the place where prana resides.

This is where the five basic elements of the body meet:

  1. Mamsa - Muscles
  2. Sira - Blood vessels
  3. Snayu - Ligaments, tendons and nerves
  4. Asthi - Bone
  5. Sandhi - Joints

There are a total of 107 marma points in the body. Stimulating them in a targeted manner can release energy blockages, harmonise the flow of energy and regenerate the body and mind.

Each marma point is connected to specific organs and bodily functions. It can be treated individually to alleviate specific complaints.

According to Ayurvedic teachings, gentle pressure - both clockwise and anti-clockwise - helps to free the energy channels and increase well-being.

The term "Abhyanga" comes from two root words:

  • Abhi - into, radiate
  • Anga - limbs, body parts

Abhyanga refers to the application of oil to the body, followed by a massage in specific movements: "The Great Oiling". According to Ayurvedic teachings, diseases are caused by the accumulation of toxins in the body. Abhyanga helps to balance the doshas and detoxify the body.

The warm oil penetrates deep into the skin and releases toxins stored there from muscles, joints and organs. Through the massage, these enter the bloodstream and finally the digestive tract, where they are excreted.

Abhyanga not only has an effect on the body, but also on the mind and soul. It calms, heals and rejuvenates.

Benefits of Abhyanga:

  • Promotes general health and well-being
  • Supports the mobility and flexibility of the joints

We determine your predominant dosha on the basis of a precise anamnesis at our first appointment.

Vata

The energy of movement - Vata stands for movement and control of bodily functions.

Pitta

The energy of the metabolism - Pitta regulates digestion and metabolism.

Kapha

Frequently asked questions, clear answers

Ayurveda is a more than 5,000-year-old holistic art of healing from India. The word "Ayurveda" translates as "knowledge of life". Ayurvedic philosophy views the human being as a unity of body, mind and soul. The main aim is to create and maintain a harmonious balance between these levels. Ayurveda promotes health through prevention and natural healing methods such as massages, herbal therapies, nutrition and lifestyle adjustments.

Yoga and meditation are integral parts of Ayurveda that help to calm the mind and promote physical balance. Yoga exercises (asanas) strengthen and stretch the body, while breathing exercises (pranayama) support energetic balance. Meditation promotes mental clarity and helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

The determination is based on physical, emotional and mental characteristics. There are various methods for determining the dosha type. We determine your predominant dosha on the basis of a precise anamnesis at your first appointment.

Ayurvedic treatments such as massages, herbal medicine and dietary changes have a targeted effect on the doshas. Each treatment is individually tailored to your constitution in order to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Yes, Ayurveda can be combined well with all our therapies. Ayurveda also emphasises prevention and holistic healing. Ayurvedic therapy can complement chronic illnesses in particular by strengthening the immune system and improving well-being.
